When we think of reading programs, a lot of us automatically think about summer reading programs at our local libraries. But, what about winter reading programs? Winter in Illinois is the perfect time to break out that book, cozy up and get lost in a story. I've compiled a list of the local libraries around Wheaton, IL offering winter reading programs for kids and adults and most of them even offer prize incentives! Woot! Woot!

Kids: Read as much as you can this winter! This year we want you to EXPLORE WITH THE LIBRARY. Many of our programs will reflect this theme. Reading logs will be available to print at home or pick up from the youth desk on December 23, 2024. Each reading log will have you track the amount of time spent reading, NOT the number of books read. Return your completed reading logs to us before February 1 to receive a completion prize bag. A grand prize drawing will also be held. Winners will be contacted via phone after February 7.

Adults: Read 5 books from OBPL & review them! Reading logs will be available to print at home or pick up from the adult desk on December 23, 2024. When you sign up, you will receive a full sized candy bar! Return your completed reading logs to us before February 1 to receive a completion prize. A grand prize drawing will also be held. Winners will receive a $100 gift card to a local Oak Brook restaurant. Winners will be contacted via phone after February 7.
