Empower, Connect & Thrive at the Beyond Motherhood Summit

Join other local moms January 17-19th to learn how to live your life Beyond Motherhood

January 8, 2025

Put yourself BACK on your priority list.

On January 17th - 19th, the 2025 Beyond Motherhood Summit is happening at Lytle Auditorium in Downtown Downers Grove, conveniently located right by the Metra train station.

This 3-day event is for you if:

  • You feel like you don't have anything (or even very few things) outside of motherhood to "call your own."
  • You're looking for connection with other moms.
  • You're interested in learning from experts (and people who are just passionate) about yourself outside of motherhood.
  • You know you need to involve yourself in some personal development but "haven't had the time."

The Beyond Motherhood Summit will help you:

  • Reconnect with yourself and learn that you never truly did lose yourself.
  • Connect with other moms who are traveling through a similar journey.
  • Recharge your battery with a relaxing, no-pressure 3-day event.
  • Learn more about yourself as a person, beyond motherhood.
  • Unlearn habits that have been unknowingly making your life harder.

Snacks and lunches will be provided, and the vibe is very casual -- they want you to be comfortable so you can more easily relax and connect! There will also be a downtime room where you can go for a break and keep your hands busy (bracelet making, journaling, puzzles, etc).

Some of the 16 speakers and topics include:

About the event organizer:

Melanie O'Reilly-Rogers of Mostly Under Control has a blog and podcast all dedicated to being a regular mom, connecting with other regular moms, and brainstorming ideas to help them with their current struggles. She is a Motherhood Life Strategist, with an early education background, 4 kids (including kindergarten aged twins šŸ˜³) so she knows a lot of about keeping things mostly under control.

Here's what Melanie has to say about why she created this:

"In the life of motherhood, we don't receive job training, continuing education or the ability to call in for sick days. This can lead us to feeling completely wiped out, overwhelmed, and wondering who we really are outside of motherhood. I am an Overwhelm Relief Coach for Moms, and it is my firm belief that one of the best ways to battle overwhelm in your life as a mother is to take care of and be kind to yourself. That is exactly why I created the Beyond Motherhood Summit 2025."
