Description
Unplug Illinois is a program of the IllinoisPark and Recreation Association, designed to encourage people to “unplug” from technology and plug into play, creativity, family, and adventure. Unplug Illinois promotes getting up and getting out, whether you go for a walk, bike ride or hike.
To celebrate, we will beholding a contest for the most colorful & most unusual kites. Submit a photo of you flying your kite (rain or shine) on July 13th to szander@communityparkdistrict.org for your chance to win a $25 gift card.
All submissions must be entered by 5:00pm on 7/13. Winners will be announced7/15. Bring your own kite or purchase one from the Park District. We will have kite kits to purchase for $5.00, which can be picked up at the Rec Center, 1501 Barnsdale Rd, until 7/12at 5:00 pm.
