Description
The Elmhurst Model Railroad Club has encouraged the building and operation of model railroad layouts for both personal use and exhibition. By promoting the hobby of model railroading, our members build bonds & friendships that extend beyond our club.
Our HO scale layout is over 90 feet long and over 20 feet wide with industries and areas for switching, locomotive facilities, multi-track passenger stations and arrival-departure tracks. Our layout operates both DC and DCC at the same time so members can run any type of train at any time.
At the entrance of the club you can ring an actual steam locomotive bell from a Santa Fe prairie-type locomotive (a 2-6-2).
Open House Dates:
FRIDAY EVENINGS FROM 7:00 UNTIL 10:00 AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON FROM 1:00 UNTIL 4:00 EXCEPT HOLIDAYS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE.
